Das studio OAG! wurde 2021 von Künstlerinnen gegründet, deren Ziel darin besteht, Kunst in die Öffentlichkeit zu transportieren und kreative Prozesse über niederschwellige Erfahrungen mit Kunst nachhaltig im Alltag der Veranstaltungsteilnehmer:innen zu verankern. Im Fokus unserer Vereinsarbeit stehen Formen nicht-elitärer und partizipativer Kunstproduktion und die Stärkung eines queer- und intersektional-feministischen Netzwerks, in dem es sowohl Platz für gemeinsame künstlerische Projekte als auch sinnstiftenden Austausch über gesellschaftspolitische Fragestellungen gibt.
Ausgehend von diesen Leitgedanken hat sich der Verein zu einem relevanten Kultur-Hub entwickelt, der ein jährliches Programm mit mehr als 40 Veranstaltungen bietet. Darunter fallen 3 monatlich stattfindende Veranstaltungsreihen, vierteljährliche Workshops und regelmäßige Kooperationsprojekte. Alle Veranstaltungen werden bewusst entweder kostengünstig oder unentgeltlich angeboten.
Die Planung und Umsetzung von leistbaren oder kostenfrei zugänglichen Kunstangeboten beruht auf unserem Leitsatz, Kunst für alle erfahrbar zu machen, ohne Barrieren und Vorkenntnisse. Anders als in einer profitorientierten Kursstruktur liegt der Fokus des studio OAG! nicht auf ökonomischen Interessen, sondern auf künstlerischer Partizipation, kreativem Experiment und stärkender Community. Durch die Kombination aus niederschwelligem Angebot, künstlerischer Freiheit und gemeinschaftlicher Teilhabe fördert das studio OAG! nicht nur die individuelle künstlerische Entwicklung der Teilnehmer:innen, sondern trägt nachhaltig auch zur Stärkung der kulturellen Infrastruktur Wiens bei.

The studio OAG! was founded in 2021 by artists whose goal it is to transport art into the public sphere and to anchor creative processes in the everyday lives of event participants through low-threshold experiences with art. Our association’s work focuses on forms of non-elitist and participatory art production and the strengthening of a queer and intersectional feminist network that provides space for collaborative artistic projects as well as meaningful exchange on socio-political issues.
Based on these guiding principles, the association has developed into a relevant cultural hub offering an annual program of more than 40 events. This includes three monthly event series, quarterly workshops, and regular collaborative projects. All events are deliberately offered at low cost or free of charge.
The planning and implementation of affordable or cost-free art programs is based on our guiding principle of making art accessible to everyone, without barriers or prior knowledge. Unlike a profit-oriented course structure, studio OAG! does not focus on economic interests, but rather on artistic participation, creative experimentation, and strengthening the community. Through a combination of low-threshold offerings, artistic freedom, and community participation, studio OAG! not only promotes the individual artistic development of its participants, but also contributes to the long-term strengthening of Vienna’s cultural infrastructure.
